From One Honors Kid to Another...
So, you got into honors. Good job! That was probably the easiest part for you. I've already gone through this, so I'm going to tell you how to live through this year.

1. This is extremely common, I know. But DON'T EVEN THINK ABOUT PROCRASTINATING!! Trust me. I did it all the time and YOU WILL REGRET IT! So, don't do it.

2. Get into iRead early. I got into it the week before the party and it was super stressful. To make your life easier, get in early.

3. Don't get too stressed out. There's a ton of work that you have to do for this class, but as long as you stay caught up, you should be okay.

4. All worksheets can be found in a bin by the Robins' Rewards. She will tell you this if she hasn't already, but if you are absent, you'll want to look in there for papers that you missed.

5. Don't try to be cool and say weird/popular sayings in class. Mrs. Robins will find you and embarrass you SO BADLY.

6. Turn you phone off, for goodness sakes! Put it in the pocket as well. That way, if it goes off, you won't get in trouble. However, Mrs. Robins WILL ANSWER IT, so just remember to turn it off. And save you your dignity.

7. Work well with others. DON'T BE THAT ONE PERSON THAT EVERYONE HATES WORKING WITH BECAUSE THEY'RE A JERK!!!

8. Try to make some friends in the class. Your life will be much easier because you'll always have somebody to ask about assignments and work with.

9. This should be obvious, but I'm gonna say it anyways. Keep your grades up, or else you might be kicked out of the class! As long was you have a grade better than a B-, you should be good.

10. Make sure you are organised. Trust me, this class is WAY easier when you can actually find your papers for it.

Have fun, young seventh graders! Remember what I've told you, and use your time wisely. I was you once... I should know what to do! I know you guys are going to have a fantastic time this year with Mrs. Robins, the best ELA teacher ever!
