Cranberry sauce, by far, is the best and yummiest dish served on Thanksgiving. Just think about dipping your spoon in that sticky, sweet sauce and smothering it all over your moist, tender turkey. I even have family members that eat it by the spoonful! Plus, according to "Thatsitfruit.com", it contains approximately 90% water! Scrumptious and hydrating! No one can deny the tart, yet savory-sweet taste of the gooey, pink-red heaven that is cranberry sauce! So grab your cranberries, sugar and water and make everyone at the table drool this Thanksgiving!

Mashed Potatoes

The aromas of Thanksgiving are all delicious when they're wandering around all over your house. Just think of all those pies, the turkey, rolls, stuffing, cranberry sauce! Though the best dish is actually the mashed potatoes. Seriously though, everyone loves mashed potatoes! (Unless you are really crazy.) I mean, the volcanoes to make, with the gravy drizzling all down the sides. Or the cranberry sauce to mix your potatoes with, and the vegetables you could stir up in there. There are so many ways to help make them delicious! Plus, according to The Daily Meal the recipe for mashed potatoes is the number one looked up thing for Thanksgiving. So many people love it, and no wonder. Some people think of it as a side dish but for a lot of people it's just a plate of scrumptious food. All in all, mashed potatoes are the best dish on Thanksgiving's large menu.

Thanksgiving is the best time of the year.  You got mouth-watering food.  My favorite food is the turkey. Just think about it.  It is the prize part of the meal for a reason.  According to the article, "The grate thanksgiving turkey debate." from The New York Times, I find turkey perfectly acceptable. Benjamin Franklin actually wanted to make it the National Bird."  This states that Benjamin Franklin wanted it to be the state bird just for the taste of the delicious bird. So, to sum up, EAT TURKEY IT IS THE BEST!

One dark night I was walking home from my friends house, we were studying for a test we had in the morning.  As I was walking down the street to my house I saw a figure in the dirt lot just off to the side of where I was walking.  Curiously, I walked over to study the figure.  Once I got close enough I could make out what the figure was, to my surprise, the figure was a black cat with eyes that glowed a mysterious yellow.  Me and the cat looked at each other for a short time before the cat started to walk towards this old rickety house.  I don't exactly know why but I followed the cat.  As I walked up to the porch the door automatically opened.  I walked in, but to my surprise the cat was gone and the door closed behind me.  When I turned around I couldn't see anything it was so dark.  I found the door knob and was struggling to open it wouldn't budge. I started to panic, before I could even think I started screaming for help.  Then something grabbed me and I froze, too afraid to move.  Then suddenly the lights switched on and I turned around to see my brother and his friends.  They all screamed, "Happy Halloween!"

"There," said my Dad, as he handed me our jack-o-lantern. "Just set it on the porch."  I opened the creaky front door of our huge mansion, and set the carved pumpkin on the front porch. 3 black cats ran off the porch with a quiet purr. Something moved in the shadows. I jumped and slammed the front door. I heard the lock click. But i had been OUTSIDE when the door slammed! I was now locked outside with three cats and something moving in the shadows. I pulled my phone out of my back pocket and turned on the flashlight. I slowly walked over to the tree where the movement had been, adrenaline coursing through my veins.

´´Help me´´ the voice in the shadows moaned. I couldn't hold back anymore. I ran over to the tree and shone my flashlight. It settled on the figure of a person lying on the ground. It was my older brother! He had a black eye and his shirt was ripped and torn. There appeared to be a tire mark on his white t-shirt! What happened? I asked. ´´Haha I tricked you!´´ My brother sprang off the ground laughing, and gave me a brotherly punch on the shoulder. You´ve been tricked!!!
