                                                                   My Un-Resolution

My un-resolution for the new year is to stop procrastinating. That is what I have been saying I was going to do for a while now. But now that it is the new year it has to be my resolution. I am very terrible at not procrastinating. I always save everything until the last minute and stress myself out. It is one of my worst traits. Part of my the Un-Resolution would be to finish all my projects and blog responses as early as possible. However, the chances of this actually happening for more than a couple months is very low but i'll try for as long as I  can. That is my Un-Resolution.

My Un resolution
I have always had goals come and go, achieve and exceed, But what am I missing? I have noticed that I stall waking up in the morning.  I want to stop this and get a regiment going.  I sit in my bed and think, ¨do I really need to go to school today,¨ but of course I go. But want can I do?  I have decided to get up as soon as my alarm goes off, I make my bed soon after. This gets me awake. So Hoorah for school one less missing the bus one at a time.

My Un-resolution
By: Courtney Derrick
Last year I found myself doing a lot of non-productive things. For example, when I should be outside playing i'm in on a phone, tablet or computer watching David Lopez vines and eating unhealthy foods like chips. So my resolution is to eat healthier and get more active. I'm going to try to set down that phone and get active. I am going to try to eat trail mix instead of chips. This un-resolution will make my body healthier and stronger. I encourage others do to the same because it won't just improve your health, it will put you in a better mood! All in all, my un resolution is to get off of the electronics and get active, and eating healthier foods than chips and other junk that is harmful to your body.

My Un-resolution

By Courtney Pack

2017 has come and gone and 2018 is here now. My un-resolution is to scare my brother less. Yes, I do know that is weird, but it's true. I scare my brother a lot and I think that I need to make it my un-resolution. I hide behind a door and when he is least expecting it, I jump out at him. His scream fills the entire house and echos through out the entire neighborhood. He will eventually get me back but not before I scare him again. It's so funny and you have to be there to truly get what I'm talking about. My parents always laugh with me as my brothers face gets redder and redder. I'll always remember the look on his face after it happens. It's shock with a little bit of surprised. My un-resolution is to scare my brother less and I think that is going to be hard.

Gabby's Un-resolution :)

Step Away From That Stove
By: Gabby Dutson

2017 was a good year. I accomplished my goal of filling a clear plastic drinking cup to the brim with pencil shavings, (weird I know, but bear with me), and I followed through with my plan to improve my cursive whilst using it on a daily basis! However, 2018 means new year, new me! So I have made the most difficult goal I will ever force myself to endure: Eat less stove-top pasta. Specifically chicken Ramen noodles and Kraft Mac N' Cheese. If it's a "Fend for yourself and make your own meal because Mom and Dad are busy" situation, I will resort to my two best friends, and make either Ramen or Mac. They're simple to make and scrumptious to devour, but I end up eating them 2-3 times a week! So no more will I eat that savory, soft Ramen or those small, cheesy morsels more than one time (each) a week. I can finally start to indulge in those leafy green vegetables everyone's talking about...
All in all, my un-resolution is to eat less stove pasta. Although I will miss my oodles of noodles dearly, we must part for the better.

January Blog Post...due January 30th

Welcome to 2018! This is the time of year when people make resolutions, or goals, of things they want to do to better themselves.

I want you to write an un-resolution! What is one thing that you can STOP doing during 2018? Write one, well-developed paragraph. You can make it earnest (I want to stop being mean to my little brother) or humorous (I want to stop peeing in the pool). Make it real, funny if you choose, most of all: have FUN writing!

Mrs. Robins's Example

Resolutions come and go...I might resolve to lose weight, be nicer, exercises daily, etc. Oftentimes, the resolution gets lost in the minutia of life. This year, however, will be different because I am going to make a un-resolution and firmly commit to--brace yourselves--NOT walking outside barefoot. First of all, I almost always am barefoot in my house and run outside without shoes. The problem is that I'm always stepping on rocks, stubbing my gigantic 2nd toe (it's scary), slipping on mud, etc. Did I mention I  have a dog? A dog who poops and I've had one too many close calls. I'm also highly allergic to said dog, and while I love her, the constant licking of my bare feet just flares allergies and is gross. It's time for me to take matters into my own hands, or feet, in this instance and pony up by slapping on sandals and not going barefoot anymore. There's no support group for my problem, so I will bravely face this challenge alone...one covered foot at a time!

                                                                   Christmas Trains

Whenever the Christmas season rolls around my family and I get super exited. We get way exited because that means we get to go to grandma's house to decorate her house and make Christmas Trains. What is a Christmas Train? Well they are an assortment of different candy, chocolate, and other sugary things glued together with frosting in the shape of a train. When we first get to grandma's house we wait for our cousins and other family to arrive then we run downstairs and get all the Christmas decorations out and bring them all upstairs.  We start to fill my grandmas house with Christmas spirit as my grandma sits around in her comfy chair and plays Free Cell or Sudoku on her Tablet. When we finish decorating her tree and house we get out all the sugary sweets such as: 3 Musketeers, M&M's, Dumb Dumbs suckers, Hershey Kisses, Reese's Peanut Butter Cups, and Licorice. We lay down the tracks for the train with licorice and frosting. We then make the train cars and decorate them with candy. Sometimes my brothers and sisters decorate their trains with as much candy as possible to eat later. After we are done we set the christmas trains out to dry, and play card games, and board games for an hour or two with my family. At about 10:00 o'clock or later we all mosey out to our car and drive home. Whenever this christmas tradition occurs after it is over my family and I can't wait for it to come around next year.
