Hi my name is Courtney Derrick. I have read all of the letters from last years honors class and the biggest thing that I saw was, DON'T PROCRASTINATE! This means don't wait until the last second to turn in an assignment. I procrastinated on this assignment and it hasn't helped me at all! I'm just now more stressed to get it done. Procrastination never helped anybody, and to see that all of those posts last year gives this single piece of advice in pretty much every post, it is very important not to.
I've loved writing in my previous years. Writing is my passion and joy. When I was in 4th grade I would always compete to see who could get the highest score on Utah Compose. That same year I pushed myself so hard that I got a 30! When I was in First Grade I would write stories with single pieces of paper. I love how different types of people create different types of stories and that a single word can be made into a magical book. I get a lot of writing ideas from reading, and the games I would play when I was little, and trust me I have played plenty of games. These games would always be about something magical, such as a mermaid trying to fit in on land, a fairy on a quest, anything I wanted to play! Writing can take imagination to the next level, and that's what I love about it! Thank you for reading my blog post! If you have any suggestions than let me know. -Court

You're writing is really good. You add a lot of enthusiasm that make it interesting to read. Although in your writing you forgot to add three comments from last years post in your first paragraph. Remember to reread the instructions after you finished writing.
ReplyDeleteWoot! I love that writing is your passion and joy: that is so awesome! I like the good explanation of procrastination. Yes, Owen caught that you forgot to do 3 pieces of advice--double-check that. Wonderful enthusiasm and I'm so happy to have you in class.
