Dear Maui, shapeshifter, demigod of the wind and sea, hero of men,

You are so totally and completely awesome you invented the tide, the sun, you pulled up the sky,
stole fire from down below, lassoed the sun, harnessed the breeze, pulled tons of islands from the sea,
made the grass, the ground, and coconuts! You have practically made the world go round. You are my
hero Maui. Your skin is a tapestry of the victories you’ve won. You are just soooooo cool! You are
everyone’s hero, all because you returned the heart of Tafiti! You are my total favorite!

Yours, Maui, shapeshifter, demigod of the wind and sea, the hero of men.

  1. Haha anna! I died reading this! You did a really good/funny job! The only thing I suggest is to make it a little longer because I wanted to read more! -Court

  2. This was adorable. Personally not a fan of the ship, but I won't judge you for anything of the sort.
I liked how you quoted the song from the movie, it gave it an awesome zest!
I did notice some non-capitalized words however.
    Keep writing like this!

  5. I love that you chose Maui and had him write to himself, that was a really good idea!! I agree with the other comments, maybe make it a little longer and don't say the exact words that the song says. Maybe change it up a little!
