Dear Mrs. Gubler,

Everyone is saying that you are inviting celebrities, and the one that I think would be the coolest is the founder of any big company or social media platform such as Mark Zuckerbug (Creator of Facebook), Keven Systrom (Instagram), or maybe even the founders of Twitter and heck, even Google! Think about it. They could be inspirational because they started from the bottom. And they could give everyone a gift of some sort if they're nice like a little goodie bag of some sort like a bookmark and a piece of candy or something like that. Most if not all of the students will enjoy tht if they could also incorporate everyone in an activity. So in short, I think we should invite the creator of social media or powerful corporations to our school to inspire students to be creative.

Sincerely,
Cason Davenport

 Dear Mrs. Gubler

Rumor has it that you are looking for a celebrity guest to come and speak at our school. The best, most excellent choice would be: Dave Grohl, the lead singer of the band, Foo Fighters. Mr. Grohl was the drummer for the band Nirvana. After Kurt Cobain died, from a drug overdose, Mr. Grohl started the band Foo Fighters. Many people discouraged him from doing this, saying he had gone soft, and therefore should call it quits. Due to his perseverance, he would be a good speaker to encourage us to do what you believe is right and not listen to nay-sayers. He is also a singer, drummer, guitar player, song writer, and producer of most excellent music, who does not do drugs!  Sadly, many rock stars do use drugs, but not Dave. This would make him an excellent speaker for Red Ribbon week (if it is that time of year). He is also a really funny guy with a great sense of humor!  The audience would be entertained while he is speaking. These are a few of the many reasons why I think you should put Dave Grohl into consideration.  I hope you do.

                                                                                                                                        Sincerely,                                                                                                                                                     Phoenix Oliver
Dear Mrs. Gubler,
I think it is amazing that you are considering bringing in a celebrity to come speak to us. I really think you should consider bringing in Sean Covey. He wrote the book 7 Habits for Highly effective teens. and another one for kids. He knows exactly how to balance out time. After reading his book I learn that if I put the  important things first like school work and practices then I won't be cramming it in the day before the trimester ends. In his book he also wrote about goals. He says to keep goals written out and put them somewhere you can see them so you won't forget what they are and to practice them. He shares that kindness is not only helping others but it improves you. It is making a deposit in your personal bank account, and lifting you. Sean Covey also knows how to tell great stories because his book is packed with them. If you bring in Sean Covey to are school it will improve are learning skills and help all students achieve what they want. This is why I think it is a wonderful idea to bring in Sean Covey to share some of his inspirational stories with us.
                                                                                                                                          Sincerely,
                                                                                                                                          Sydney Healy
Dear  Mrs Gubler,

I heard you were thinking about inviting a celebrity to our school. I think this would be great for our school. I do have a suggestion on who you should invite. His name is Patrick Willis. He is a retired linebacker from the 49ers. But that is not all that would make him a great visitor. He grew up very very poor, he couldn't even afford to play peewee football. But he is still considered one of the better linebackers of all time. The only reason he made it to the NFL was by working hard and never giving up on his dream. I think he would be very inspiring to everybody who has almost a crazy dream. Or maybe just anyone.

                                                                 From,
                                                                 Braden
Dear Mrs. Gubler,

I heard that you were inviting a celebrity to ur school, and I would like to make a suggestion. I think we should invite Tim Cook to our school. Tim Cook is now the chief executive officer of Apple after Steve Jobs died. I think that him coming to our school would be very beneficial to our students because of his experience and leadership in the technology field. He could talk about how the recent technology can change and has changed our learning, education, and economy. Besides, who doesn't want to learn a lot about Apple?

                                                                                                Sincerely,
                                                                                                         Bryce Christiansen

Dear Mrs. Gubler,                                                                                                                       9/28/17

If you are going to select a celebrity to visit our school, I  recommend you try to bring in Matt Meese. Matt Meese is a comedian that performs sketch comedy with his group called "Studio C" on BYU TV, and he is completely clean and friendly towards families and children. He's Utah born, and I think we could have a good shot convincing him to come to our school and bring joy and laughter to the student body. I hope you consider my choice!
                               Sincerely,
                                            Gabriella Dutson

Dear Mrs. Gubler,

I understand that you would like to bring a celebrity to our school. I think that is such a fun idea! A celebrity I think would be really fun and appropriate to bring to our school is Angelica Hale. Angelica was the runner up for first place on Americas Got Talent 2017 and she is only 9 years old! She has the most amazing singing voice ever and for such a young age. When Angelica was 4 years old she was rushed to the hospital because of an infections in her lungs. She was in the hospital for 80 days from February, 2 to April, 24 2012. She survived kidney failure for over a year by going to dialysis. Then at age 6 she had a kidney transplant by her mom. I think she would be a good celebrity to bring in because she could talk to us about pursuing her dreams even when things got hard. She overcame health and anxiety to audition and sing in front of millions of people. She could teach our school about practicing a lot and putting in lots of time to achieve your dream. This is why I think Angelica Hale would be a good celebrity to bring to our school!

                                                                                                      Sincerely,
                                                                                                      Camille Van Gils
Dear Mrs. Gubler,

I heard that you're planning on inviting a celebrity to the school! I think that it would be and amazing idea to invite J.K. Rowling to our school. First of all, she is an AMAZING writer, and she could help us so much with improving our writing. Secondly, she is very inspiring, as she was turned away from 12 different publishers with the Harry Potter series, and now it's one of the best selling series in the world! She can teach us to never give up and pursue our dreams, like she did. Thirdly, J.K. Rowling is a very kind and charitable person, and she would be very good to come to our school. That is why you should have J.K Rowling come to our school.

                                                                                                                     Sincerely,
                                                                                                                     Janessa Wilding

Dear Mrs. Gubler,

I heard that you were planning on inviting a celebrity to our school.  I think that you should invite J.R.R. Tolkien.  He is the author of The Hobbit and Lord of the Rings which are two of the best selling series in the world.  If he came to our school he could talk about his books and what inspired him to write and maybe he could inspire other people as well.  Plus, he is one of the most talented writers in the world and he could teach about how to grab a reader's attention or other good writing traits.  Not to mention that he is known by almost everyone and lots of people love him, because of this students, teachers, faculty and even parents would be entertained if he came to our school.  Lastly, he could advertise his books to everyone which would be a win win situation, he will have sold more books and more students are being introduced to great literature, words, and characters of a book which could benefit them in the future.  Obviously inviting J.R.R. Tolkien to our school would be a great choice.

                                                                                   Sincerely,
                                                                                        Ellie Bethers

Dear Mrs.Gubler,

I heard that you were wanting to bring a celebrity to our school. I personally think that it would be cool to bring a celebrity our age to the school. I think Eva Igo would be the best person to come, she is a incredible dancer. She is the youngest to make it to the finals on Worldof Dance. This would be an entertaining show. She could talk about why she wanted to be in World of Dance. She can tell us how to not give up on our dreams, and help us achieve ours.

Eva would be a good celebrity to come because, she can show us all her cool dance moves. She could also tell us how she didn’t give up on her dreams and pushed through it all, and encourage us to stick with our dreams. She could tell us how scarred and happy  she was to be on World of Dance, and how it was a good experience for her. Eva could also tell us how happy she was to make it to the finals. I think personally Eva Igo would be a good celebrity to bring to our school.

                                                                                                            Sincerely,
                                                                                                                    Ellee Bolander

            Dear Mrs. Gubler,

I've heard that you are trying to choose a celebrity to come visit Lava Ridge.  I think that is a great idea!  Choosing someone who is well known by the student body is a great way to get the kids' attention.  Everyone likes to listen to someone who uses humor in their presentation, so you should pick someone who is funny.  If you ask me, Jack Black would be awesome!  I couldn't think of anyone who wouldn't want to listen to Jack Black give a presentation!

One reason I think Jack Black would be a good guest celebrity to visit our school is, because he has starred in a lot of funny kids movies like, Goosebumps, Nacho Libre, Kung Fu Panda, School of Rock and Jumanji.  In all of these movies, Jack plays a role that is hilarious.  He's really good at making things that aren't usually funny, funny. It seems like a lot of people could relate to Jack because he's not your typical celebrity.  He's not always on the cover of magazines and seems to lead a pretty normal life.  Another reason he'd be great is that he is a dad, so he can probably talk to kids about things that affect them, unlike some other celebrities who aren't parents.  If Jack Black came to our school, I can see him talking about bullying, using social media or self esteem, but putting a really funny twist on it.  I know that he would use jokes that kids could understand instead of adult humor.

If you're going to choose a celebrity to come speak to us, you should choose someone who most kids can identify with. If you choose a professional athlete, there might be big group of kids (those who don't play sports at all), who can't relate to them. That would be a problem because it would be boring for those kids.  While some kids might enjoy sports, that kind of presentation wouldn't be fun for the whole student body.  A comedian, like Jack Black, would be someone that everyone would enjoy! I really hope you decide to invite Jack to come to our school!

                                                                                                        Sincerely,
                                                                                                                  Addie Platt

Dear Mrs. Gubler,

I heard that you want a celebrity to come to our school. I think that having Lebron James come would be awesome. Lebron James is a pro basketball player. He has won three NBA championships and MVP of the league four times. Lebron would be good to come to our school because he puts in hard work. He could talk to us about how he got to the NBA. I know that Lebron would inspire many students to work hard and achieve goals. Also, he is really big for reading. Before games and during free time he loves to read. This would show many students that reading is good for them and that it is cool. Plus who doesn't want to meet Lebron James? It would be great if he came to our school.

                                                                                   Sincerely, Will Warner
Dear Mrs. Gubler,

I heard that you are inviting a celebrity to our school! It would be amazing if you could invite Travis Wall. He is an amazing dancer and dance choreographer, and is on the TV show So You Think You Can Dance. If he came to our school, hopefully he would show us some of his amazing dances and talk about all of his experiences that he has had while dancing. He could also talk about how hard work can pay off and how to reach your goals. It would be more of a fun assembly if he came, kind of like when the Foreign Figures band played some of their songs for us! I can't even imagine how fun it would be if Travis Wall came to our school. Hopefully you can make this happen!

                                                                                                                 Sincerely,
                                                                                                                          Kennedie Harris

Dear Mrs. Gubler, what an amazing idea to invite someone to our school to speak to us. I don't have one person in mind, but I know that Ted Ed always has amazing speakers. Maybe we could invite one of the speakers that they have had talk on their show. I know they have a plethora of different topics that their speakers talk on. We could get someone to talk about all ways being kind and being true to ourselves.  Thanks for thinking about inviting a speaker to our school.

                                                                                    Sincerely-
                                                                                             Averi Cobb
      Dear Mrs. Gubler,

I think that we should have Brandon Mull come to our school. Lots of students have read his books like Fablehaven etc. Lots of students know who he is and it would be pretty cool to have him come to our school and talk about his books and the inspiration he had to write them. I for one think it would be really cool to have him come.

Sincerely,
Halle Westbrook
Dear Mrs. Gubler,
I heard you were going to invite a celebrity to our school. I think that Michael Jordan would be a wonderful visitor for our school. He was an amazing basketball player and it would be a very cool experience. He could tell us about hard work and what it takes to reach your dreams. I believe he would inspire very many kids in our school to try harder. There are so many good reasons why we should invite Micheal Jordan to our school. Thank you.

         Dear Mrs. Gubler
I heard you were looking for a celebrity to come to our school, I think that Donald Trump would be a very exiting visitor. He is the President of the United States, a very important character and would bring good advice to our young students. He is a very respected, honorable person and has been doing great in the White House. We could have a huge assembly at the end of the day and he could answer all the questions that we asked. I think that Trump would bring a sense of seriousness to our wonderful school, he could tell us all about living in the White House, going to different countries, and meeting other presidents. I bet the students would be really exited about this rare and important encounter ship.

                                                                                                                      Sincerely,
                                                                                                                           Brandon Gough
Dear Mrs. Gubler,

If you were going to invite a celebrity to our school you should invite Brandon Mull. You should invite him because he is a great author and could help promote reading and writing in our school. Also he could tell us about how his first book was rejected and how he came back and wrote a new book that was published the first time. He could also tell about his child hood and how he was always daydreaming about adventures and how as he got older he wanted to become an author. Overall I think you should invite Brandon Mull to our school to inspire us to write.

                                                                                                        Sincerely,
                                                                                                          Braxton Dunbar

        Dear Mrs. Gubler,

I heard you were inviting a celebrity to our school. I think it would be a great idea to invite Michael Jordan. Even though he's retired, he was the greatest basketball player of all time. He could tell some great stories of trying and failing and trying again. Did you know he was kicked off his high school basketball team because he "lacked talent"? Michael Jordan would encourage everyone to try again and shoot for the stars. Also, everyone loves Michael Jordan and would be a great hit at our school.

                                                       -Anna B.

        Dear Mrs. Gubler,
I heard you were going to invite a celebrity to the school. I think a good idea for that would be John Flanagan. He is one of my favorite authors, and he wrote my favorite series which happens to be Ranger's Apprentice. John Flanagan also wrote the Brotherband Chronicles which is another great adventurous series. He is a really good writer and I think he would be a really great option to come and visit us. When I read his books, it's like a movie in my head and it's fantastic! He also writes enough tragedy in the books to make it seem more realistic but also makes it fun to read so it's not depressing. John could talk about the trials in his life and how much time and effort it took him to get to where he is now. It would be such a fun experience if he were to come.

                                                                                                    Sincerely,
                                                                                                   Daisy Jessop☺
           Dear Mrs. Gubler,
I heard that you are trying to find a celebrity that could come to our school. I believe that you should invite Lin-Manuel-Miranda. He is absolutely amazing! He wrote the musical Hamilton and played the role of Alexander Hamilton. The play Hamilton is very historical, and it has very catchy songs and scenes. He wrote the lyrics and the music for it. He was also a co-writer for Disney's Moana. I believe that he could be very inspirational. He is a idol of mine because he worked hard to get where he is now. By having him come to our school, he could help inspire people to never give up. He could talk about not giving up, even when things get hard. It would be amazing to have Lin-Manuel-Miranda!
          Sincerely, Scarlett Deuel

Dear Mrs. Gubler,

I heard you were inviting a celebrity to our school. I don't have anyone particular in mind but I think you should invite some kind of sport person. Most of them have really good stories of how they failed but kept trying. Most of them could teach us how to not give up and how to keep trying when it seems impossible to keep going. A lot of football players and basketball players have gone to schools before. Most students would love it if some famous sports person came to our school. Everyone would have so much fun! They could talk about always trying and never giving up. Also about how to keep going when people say you can't do it. It would be AMAZING if you would invite a sports person to our school.

                                                                     Sincerely, Courtney Pack

   Dear Mrs. Gubler,

I heard you are looking for a celebrity to come to our school and talk to all the students. I think someone that should come to our school is Suzanne Collins. She is an amazing author! She wrote the Hunger Games series. If you haven't read them I recommend you do. She also wrote the Gregor series and much more. She started off as writing children television shows like, Little Bear and Clifford Puppy Days. In 2008 she released The Hunger Games. It became a very well-know book. She then released Catching Fire in 2009 and Mocking jay in 2010. This series became very popular and a majority of the people you ask will know what this series is. Suzanne Collins would be a great person to come to the school.

                                         Sincerely, Kamree R

Dear Mrs. Gubler,

To start, I think that you should invite Jon Schmidt to our school because he will be a great addition to hope week, by inspiring everybody with his skills. He is so good, that if people could hear him play at our school then they might be inspired to keep their grades up so maybe one day they could gain wonderful talents like him. Another thing he could do is tell about the trials that he has gone through recently, like how his daughter died while hiking. This could help everybody understand that even famous people go through hard things. That is why you should invite the Jon Schmidt to our school.

Secondly, you should invite Jon Schmidt to our school because he could put on a performance in front of the whole school. This would be really cool seeing how he has made so many cool songs. It would be an  extraordinary performance sitting there listening to him play amazing songs. I think that it would also be a nice way to celebrate  all the schools hard work this year. I think the whole school can agree with me that we should have Jon Schmidt to our school.

                                                                               From,
                                                                                 Will Nadauld.

              Dear Mrs. Gubler

I read that you were thinking of bringing a celebrity to the school and I have a person in mind that you should invite. You should invite Rick Riordan. He is the author of the Percy Jackson series. I know how he could share how he started writing and how he became so well known. I have read ever single book he has wrote and I think he is a very talented writer and could give some tips.  Also I think most of the school would enjoy having him come to the school. I see people reading his book's all the time.
Another thing is that I would love to have him to come. I want to meet him so bad!I started reading his books in third grade and have never stopped. I have read all his series and I think their amazing. Rick Riordan said that he loved coming to schools to talk so I think he will be very willing to come and speak. He could talk on anti-bullying and being nice. I've heard he is a very nice guy. Plus he could give us a sneak peak on his latest work. In conclusion Rick Riordan would be a great choice for a celebrity to come talk. Peace.

                                                                                                      Sincerely,
                                                                                                                Owen R.
Dear Mrs. Gubler,

Hello this is Anna Steel! I heard you were thinking about inviting a celebrity to our school. I was thinking about that and I thought a good celebrity that would be good for school is The Piano Guys! They are so good and they play fun and new amazing songs! They always make there songs sound amazing. I know they have some pretty amazing stories. They probably have so many of stories about when the travel places for tour!  I know the guy that plays the piano his daughter died and that would be a good story about trials and how to get trough them. They could tell us how why they wanted to form this group and how did they got so good! We wouldn't just enjoy we would learn something. I think they are a really good choice because they are to famous like a movie star so they wouldn't be to hard to get!  They would be so inspirational and really fun! And I know the kids would LOVE them! I hope that helped you and I hope you will have them come! Thank you!

patiences letter

                                                                                                                                   9-12-17
            dear principal,
Hello, I just would like to say something. I think we should have a guest come to the school.  the person I think should come is... drum roll please, Maroon 5. they are awesome.  They will keep it PG.  Did I tell you how cool they are, they play concerts and are totally cool.
I promise if you ask they will keep it PG.  They will talk about nice things like none bullying and anything constructive.  I know this because you you hear there music it is nothing really bad or volger.  they have a good voice and have a lot of talent being a young age bracket performers.  the forien figers where a big hit and maroon 5 is not very different.
I also think that they will be a liked performance cause of there popularity and coolness. Dear Mrs. Gubler,
I don't have a specific person that I am dying to have come to our school, but someone who would make me really, REALLY happy to have come is Lin-Manuel-Miranda! If you haven't heard of him or his most famous Broadway Musical HAMILTON you're seriously missing out, get on the internet right now and read about him, Lin is seriously talented! I learn things easier when music is involved and Hamilton has so much history in all of its music its hard not to learn things.
Lin wrote the book, music and lyrics for Hamilton (also played as Alexander Hamilton), co-wrote the music for Disney Moana, and wrote the music and lyrics for the Broadway musical "In The Heights", these are just some of the things he's done. The reason I would love for him to come is, well obviously I'm a fan, but I have stage fright, I love singing yet no one knows and never hears me really sing. I am a total scared-y cat I can't sing in front of anyone, and Lin has definitely had some experience with with this and I know could give me some serious advice and pointers to help me come out of my shell. To be totally honest I would just love to meet him!  He's so crazy talented and his work is amazing! I would be in pure shock if I ever met him! Lin-Manuel-Miranda is my hero and my idol, and I would love to have him come to our school!
                                Sincerely,
                                               Gwyneth Lamoreaux
Dear Mrs. Gubler,

I think it would be amazing to have J.K. Rowling come to our school! Not only do I love her books, but I also love her personal story. She has gone through so many trials yet she is still one of the most well known authors in the world! Her books are famous everywhere! I also love writing, so I think that it would be way cool to have her do a writing workshop with us!
First of all, J.K. Rowling has had so many struggles in her life. Did you know she has dyslexia? She was also abused by her husband, in her young adult years. Depression was a big part of her life for a while on top of being dyslexic and abused. That would be so hard! I would really like to hear for myself and for others to hear her story and how she overcame her challenges! I think that would be awesome! I know many people that suffer from anxiety and depression and I think it would be way cool for them to hear that a world famous author can relate to them! I believe that this would let them know that they C A N  do something, that they  C A N  be a somebody someday. Just because they're struggling right now doesn't mean that they will always struggle or that they can't do anything about it. J.K. Rowling is an awesome example of how challenges can make you stronger, and sometimes better. Challenges can bring out the best of you and you can go places you never thought you could.
Secondly, I love her Harry Potter books. Harry Potter is easily my most favorite series! J.K. Rowling is an amazing writing and I think it would be awesome to take a writing workshop from her! I could really work on my character and story developing skills. I would like for my story to come to life, just like hers do! I know my stories won't be perfect yet, but I would like them to improve and I think J.K. would be perfect to teach me, and my peers, how to develop a plot line and all of the details in between. If I could attend a writing workshop with her as the teacher, that would be such a cool experience! I would love that and remember it forever!
As you can see, having J.K. Rowling come to our school would be an amazing opportunity to learn about her life and her stories! I would absolutely love that, and I think a lot of my friends and peers would too! If you could have her come to our school, that would be extraordinary!

Sincerely,
      Abbey Mathews
   Dear Mrs. Gubler,

I heard that you wanted to bring a famous writer to our school, I would like you to bring (or Skype) Lemony Snicket. If he's alive then he could teach us a couple of things about how to address the reader about the description of words in a situation. Such as (page 110 of The Bad Beginning) :Kalus sighed and relinquished--a word which here means ´give to Count Olaf even though he didn´t want to´:. Another reason is that he addresses the fact that this is a sad book on the back of the book (and yes, in letter version too). He also addresses that this is a book multiple times through out the book. The book series that he made is so good that it got a movie. Those are some reasons to why I want Lemony Snicket to come to our school to help young writers.

With all due respect,
Jack Musser
Dear Mrs. Gubler,
I heard that you wanted to invite a celebrity to speak at our school. First of all, this is an amazing idea! If you are having trouble deciding which celebrity, maybe I could en-light you on someone that everyone could enjoy, Johnny Depp. Johnny is the perfect choice because he has been in so many movies that we enjoy. Even if you haven´t seen any of them, you will still know who he is because of Pirates of the Caribbean. Johnny would keep us entertained because of his hilarious remarks, interesting stories, and fun ways to tell us how he got to be a star. Depp would also be amazing to take pictures with, get autographs, and face it just be in his presence! He could tell us why he loves to be in the Pirates of the Caribbean series too! Mrs. Gubler, Johnny Depp is a great choice that I think we would all enjoy!
       Hope it helped,
Courtney Derrick

Dear Mrs. Gubler,
I heard you wanted to invite a celebrity to LRI. Lindsey Stirling would be a fantastic choice.  Lindsey Stirling is a violinist/dancer. She would be an awesome person to invite to our school because she knows what hard work really means. She struggled through an eating disorder and made it out stronger. She introduced a hard way to combine violin and dance. She had to practice a lot and not give up. She faced rejection in America's Got Talent and improved her work. It made her become even better. She even came back on to America's Got Talent. Returning proved she was brave. Also, she has great music and creative music videos. I think she would give a great message to us at Lava Ridge Intermediate. Lindsey Stirling would be a great celebrity to invite here. I hope you agree with me and will ask her to come. Thanks for listening.

Never, and I mean never procrastinate.  You will have two homework assignments each month!  And when you think you have plenty of time to do it and you just wait around until the last minute, you'll realize that you have no time at all!  RELAX!  Don't push it.  If you don't procrastinate, then it will be easy as pie.  Read Read Read!  This is LA honors.  If you accomplish  the LRI Reading Program, then you'll have the best party ever!

I think I'm not the best writer or best at convincing, but I am not the worst.  I am sorry, but I do not like reading like, at all.  There are very few books that I find interesting.  This is my first time to be in Honors, like ever!  The reason I didn't go last year is because I didn't know there was such thing as Honors, or what ever until it was to late.

I think the best 3 pieces of advice are to relax, read consistently, and don't procrastinate. I think this because if you are relaxed, then the work could be a little easier and you'll most likely have a clearer mind. If you read consistently (not constantly) then you won't procrastinate and have to read for 2 hours a day for 2 weeks just to get your books done for the month! (trust me, I have 1st hand experience.) Which brings us to my last point, the thing that is probably the easiest and most devastating action that anyone can do, procrastinate. It always messes up so many of students' grades, I bet the entire school could be the best in America if no one procrastinated, but, *sigh* since it's so easy, it's almost inevitable.

Oh! I just realized! You don't even know my name! Let me introduce myself. I'm Cason Davenport. I am one of many writers for this blog. Just like you! I like to write Argumentative writing, because I have these steps for a good argumentative essay, and that could be a whole blog post by itself! But anyway, I started writing in first grade after me learned words. I also like to talk to the reader like I am now. See?

See you later!
Last year had good advice for what to do, and I am going to show you some of them. One of them is do NOT procrastinate, it is even worse as it sounds, you are going to have to catch up a lot if you procrastinate. Second, you should read a lot, sense this is a English class you must have to read a lot, especially for the iread 40 program. Third is to pay attention, the class will move by quickly and you will not notice what happened, so you will probably have to pay attention, just don't over work yourself while doing it. Those were just some good advice from last year.

I think of my self as a sorta good writer, I've always wanted to just make one book. I can never decide which one I want to do, I want to do a sorta SI-FI/realistic fiction book or a fantasy book. I started to write a lot on Google Docs on random stories, I never finished one. I hope to finally finish making a book in this class, it will take some time to do though. I mostly like writing fantasy, it's just my kind of style, being sucked into another world far away from here. Now that I have introduced my self a bit more to my classmate(s), I hope we can get along with each other and make this school year the best we ever had.
Hi, this is Daisy Jessop. The three best pieces of advice that I saw included reading. I have always loved to read so I don't think that will be too big of a problem for me, but the thought of reading twelve books each trimester sort of stresses me out. Though, since we're all in honors, then we should be able to do a pretty good job of reading a lot. The second piece of advice was to relax, this class is more advanced yes, but that doesn't mean we have to stress about it too much. This should be a pretty easy class so there isn't much to stress about. We just need to relax, it will just make it harder if we're stressing out about everything. The last, and possibly most important piece of advice was to not procrastinate! Like I said before, this class shouldn't be too hard for us. Unless, we procrastinate. I seem to always do this, just make up an excuse to get out of doing my work. It always catches up to me though. I have to do it anyways, every time. It just makes it a lot easier for us if we don't procrastinate so that is one of the things I am going to have to work on.

I have never really liked writing. I thought it was stupid and hard. Now that I've gotten older though, it has gotten easier. I prefer to write from a prompt, because then I actually know what to write about. I am terrible at coming up with topics by myself. There are too many things to write about! With a prompt there to guide me in what I have to write, it makes it so much easier for me to stay focused on writing. I started writing in school. When I was younger I did not like writing at all so I didn't do it in my free time. I wrote essays in fourth, fifth, and sixth grades, although I can't remember if I did essays in third and second grades. When I got a little older I sometimes started stories but I never finished them. That got me a little better. It was pretty good practice. I guess I will just have to see how my writing improves over the year. I bet that this year will get me a lot of information that could really help my writing to become better than it is right now. So, that is all for this post. See you next time though.

Hello this is Kennedie Harris! After reading most of the blog posts I found the top three things I need to do to survive in Mrs. Robins honors class. The first thing is, DO NOT PROCRASTINATE! You see I do this a lot and that is why I picked this, an example of me doing this is actually this assignment, the last day it was due I tried to do it. I have learned my lesson, do not procrastinate! I have a habit of doing this, and I NEED to break it. To help me from not procrastinating I am going to start getting my assignments done first before I do anything I mean ANYTHING. The second thing I found I need to do in Mrs. Robins class is, read. In one of the blog posts it says "You’re going to think, "I have the whole year, it’ll be fine," but then you’re going to have a month left to cram all the extra books in." This is true! I know it. There have been so many times where I have done this. I need to remember to read books more often. It's just that I am very picky with books, and sometimes it takes me a while to find the perfect one. The last piece of advice is, don't stress. I stress a lot, and sometimes it takes away from all of the fun. Most of the kids who wrote in the blog posts said that nothing has to be perfect, and to just follow the rules and you will be fine. The only problem is that is something is not perfect I will redo it until it is and that is what stresses me out! To help me with this I need to not worry as much as I do and just have fun! All in All, not procrastinating, reading lots, and not stressing will help me in many ways for Mrs.Robins honors class.

Ever since I was little I have loved to write, I enjoy every second of it! My favorite type of writing is Creative or Fantasy. I will think of a place or thing to start out a story and soon enough I just let my imagination take me wherever it wants to go. I started loving to write around the age of eight. That is when I got my own journal and started writing in it. To this day I still write the craziest, scariest and funniest stories in that journal. This year I am hoping to be able to write more poetry and detailed stories, and obviously, have fun!

Hi this is Sydney Healy!! After reading last years blog post I have come up with my top 3 best pieces of advice for this year. The first and most important piece of advice is don't procrastinate! This kind of goes along with staying on top off reading. I know exactly how it feels when you procrastinate because after a month long vacation with no homework and no school website I had a whole month worth of homework to do and  still had to do the work we were doing in class. So this year I am going to try my best to get my work done on time. The second most important piece of advice is to pay attention. If I don't pay attention in class I find it so hard to finish homework. As it gets deeper and deeper in the school year i find it so much harder to focus in class. This is definitely something I need to work on. The third most important piece of advice Is to have fun!!! If I took all my school work too seriously my writing wouldn't be as creative and I wouldn't enjoy reading as much.

My favorite type of writing is creative. I love a little magic but I am not into total fantasy and wizards. I love reading and writing about tragedies that glue peoples eyes to the page. I love free writing because it always grows my imagination to think up a new story. I love to imagine myself as the characters I read and write about. I am so exited for honors language arts this year!!!
First off, I loved the honors posts from last year. They were witty, neat, and fun. I just love reading the way that tell the advice. The 3 advise I thought was important was #1, don't procrastinate. it just makes things harder. Also, why procrastinate if you are in honors and shouldn't be slacking. #2,  she will go ALL OUT with parties.  The stories of the kids at the I read 40 club were so go over big, there amazing and can't wait to attend. Lastly, #3, blog posts, hard but fun.  You have to do it so mine as well be fun.
Hello, I'm patience and I'm a Writer. I like righting essays that have a prompt but I can pick the way I wright it. For instance, the prompt might say. "wright about your favorite food." That way I have a guide line but still pick the direction I go.
