Halloween Night
I was stuck at home all by myself. It was Halloween night, but mom had said I was too old to go trick-or-treating. She had to go to work. There was absolutely NOTHING to do! I turned on the T.V and started watching a movie. I was distracted by kids having a good time trick-or-treating. I forced myself not to look out the window. At about 10:30, trick-or treaters stopped coming. But I had a really weird feeling that I was being watched. So I turned on all the lights and locked all the doors. I sat on the couch and the T.V shut off. My first thought was, maybe mom forgot to pay the bill. So I figured it was fine and watched Netflix on my phone.
Then all the lights started to flicker, so I thought it was probably just the wind. WAIT!!! Everybody says that, they say it right before they all die!!!!!!!!! I told myself to calm down, but I was freaked out. My mom was working the night shift and wouldn't be home till like seven in the morning! Just then I heard a loud bang coming from the garage. I went to the garage and nothing was there. I went inside and I swore I heard footsteps on the stairs. The stereo started to play upstairs! I tried to turn it off but it wouldn't budge. I was so scared! Just then I heard a squeaky noise and decided to go to bed and try to get it out of my mind.
I thought about calling my mom but she wasn't aloud to have a phone on her shift. I can't call the police, there's no evidence. I didn't sleep a wink that night. I kept hearing noises but I was too scared to go look. I heard my mom come in the house and she rushed upstairs. I wondered why she was home it was only 4:30 AM. She ran into my room and asked if I was okay. I told her what happened. She told me she already knew. It turns out one of our neighbors heard something weird happening at our house and called the cops. They thought it was a Halloween prank. She figured I had some friends over and we were just being loud. Then she saw a tall man in black, mischievously walk out of my house.
She called my mom and she rushed home. The man got away and he is still out there so be careful on Halloween. I was miraculously fine but you may not be, Happy Halloween!
Great job! LOVED THIS!!! The only thing I saw was you had a couple of run on sentences so just add commas there or make it 2 sentences. But other than that you did a fantastic job!
ReplyDeleteThat was incredible! You did a really good job of keeping it interesting. The only thing I saw was that you said she a lot in the last part. Maybe you could specify on which she was which? Great job though. Keep writing!!
ReplyDeleteOh no! I can't give you credit for the story without a name. Be sure to add a name to your profile so it will automatically pop up each time you post. This had great suspense and creep factor. Excellent mood throughout. Add more description and figurative language. I love it! Good work:)
