I was stuck at home all by myself. It was Halloween night, but Mom had said that I was too old for trick-or-treating, but I was only thirteen! I had nothing to do but simply watch a movie til that little monster Brianna (my little sister) comes home from trick or treating. It was so unfair, I was the only one that didn't get invited to Tessa's Halloween party, and now my mom wasn't even letting me go trick or treating! Not to mention that I had already gotten a new costume. I was going to go as a.. Suddenly a scratch on the door interrupted my thoughts. "Who on earth could that be at nine 'o clock at night?" I thought.
The thing scratched again. I had no choice but to open the door. I knew it was a bad idea, but I never knew that it would lead into the next events. The door creaked open and a saw a little black cat by my door. It was so cute, I knew that letting a black cat cross your path was bad luck, but I couldn't resist its cute little nose and whiskers. I reached down to pet it and it let out a little purr as I stroked its silky black fur. I then closed the door and walked back to my T.V. when I heard a loud "MEOW." I looked out the window and there was the same black cat peering back at me but with glowing yellow eyes. Not the gentle eyes I had seen before. I blinked and the cat was gone. "Where did it go?" I thought aloud. I shrugged and then went back to my movie.
When my movie was finished I had no choice but to read a book. I reached for my book to find it torn and broken. "Oh no!" I thought "This is a library book! My mom is going to kill me!" Speaking of my mom, where was she, and where was Brianna! My mom said that they were going to be home at nine. My stomach grumbled, and I realized that I was starving! I went to the fridge and grabbed some milk and cookies. Only to find that the milk was spoiled. I heard a small scratch at my window that made my ears curl. I turned to find the black cat again, but the cat now had angry yellow eyes, strangely hair, and fangs! It hissed at me and ran away.
I woke up in cold sweat, I looked at the clock. Nine O'clock it seemed to sing back to me. I then realized that all of this was a dream. ~The End~

Although you had a few run-on sentences, this was one of my favorites!

  2. I really liked your post, and I thought it was really cool how everything was a blur, which made it actually seem like a dream.

  3. I think this is good. I liked of how you used normal horror elements like when you blink it's gone. I only wish that it was a little creepier.

  4. #wouldntpetthatcateither Lol! Great start! I liked the plot and your word choices. It did feel a little rushed like there was more to it that we should now. This is totally one you could revise and add more about the sinister cat. Well done!
