                                                               The "Short-cut"

My brother and I were walking through the woods one Halloween day when we saw what appeared to be a short-cut. " Let's go that way," my brother said. Ehh might as well. We started to walk and it started getting darker and it was like 2:00 pm in the afternoon. The bare, leafless trees were starting to seem alive and it was truly sketchy. I told my brother we should go back and he said no, and there is no way I am walking back there alone. So I trotted on. As we walked on it got darker and my brother looked more scared then me. It almost seemed that it was midnight in the middle of the day. Out of nowhere, clowns came out from behind the trees. We ran the opposite way for it seemed like an hour when we finally lost them, but we still had no idea where we were.

When we finally got out of the woods  I checked to see what time it was and where we were on my phone, when I realized what time it was and where we were I almost passed out. We were in Portland, Oregon and it was 1:00 pm. First off,  we went into the woods in St. George at first, so how did we end up here. Secondly, how is it 1:00 when it is passed 2:00 in St. George. When I was just about to hallucinate, I woke up to my alarm.

  1. Awesome job! I liked your story! Just a few tips, you could elaborate a little more, and add a question mark at the end of the sentence, "First off, we went into the woods in St. George at first, so how did we end up here". But, other than that, I thought it was pretty good! Good job.

  6. Oh no! Another no-name blog (sad face). Great start--I'd love to see this be a longer piece with a lot more details. Let's be real: clowns are creepy and it would be fun to flesh-out that part to really engage the reader. Please email me and tell me who you are so I can give you credit. Thanks!
